Don’t let mold hold up a real estate transaction.

Whether you are buying or selling a home, mold can hold up the sale. When an inspector finds microbial growth, they will bring it to the prospective buyers attention. They will often recommend that the mold be removed.  There are a few options how to handle this. 1. The seller hires a company to remediate the mold. the only problem with this is that sellers often don’t want to spend the money to do it right. 2. You can negotiate the cost of remediation in the closing. We often get buyers have us remediate, after the closing.  This option usually will be better because the buyer wants a quality job and will understand the cost of providing a good job. If you are in a situation like this, have us come and do a free inspection, to find out what your best options are.
